Happy National Nutrition Month! The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics established this month-long observance in 1980 to bring awareness to the "importance of informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits." Nutrition is one of the core values of functional and naturopathic medicine, and ICM is so lucky to have Emily Grochowski part of the team. She has an expansive breadth of knowledge and experience in the field of nutrition with specialized training in functional medicine and molecular biology. If you have been seeking dynamic, compassionate, holistic nutritional support, schedule an appointment with Emily today!

Intravenous (IV) therapy is the most efficient way to receive nutrients. ICM offers customized and pre-formulated IVs to address all your health goals. In celebration of National Nutrition Month, ICM is offering 10% off all amino acid and hydration IVs in the month of April! (While supplies last)

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Regenerative Medicine Showcase on Friday, March 14th! If you missed the event, you can still schedule consultations for Emsella and Emsculpt Neo with Dr. Ali DeMatteo. Stay tuned for future special events 🙂

Food For Aging Well: Nutrition As Regenerative Medicine
By Emily Grochowski, MSN, RDN, CD, CLT, CFIN

Though it seems highly unlikely that we will ever be able to fully reverse or even halt many aspects of the aging process, there is an ever-growing list of habits, tools, and techniques that can dramatically reduce the damage, signs, and symptoms that tend to come with passage of time. While exciting new technologies abound, don’t forget to attend to the foundations of physical and mental vitality including a consistent, supportive nutrition pattern. Some particularly important factors to consider when nourishing your health span include:

  • Hydration Habit.
  • Consistency > Perfection
  • Set a Schedule
  • Prioritize Protein
  • Focus on Fats
  • Fiber-Forward
  • Feed Flavor
  • Gut & Microbiota
  • Intentionally Indulge

Meet Branden Francis!
Originally hailing from Columbus, Georgia, I made the exciting leap to Seattle four years ago, embracing the city's vibrant culture and stunning landscapes. I am passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and prioritizing self-care, which is reflected in my daily routine. When I'm not at the gym working on my fitness goals, you can find me indulging my love for cooking, experimenting with flavors inspired by my favorite cuisines—Thai, Southern, and Italian. I cherish spending quality time with friends and enjoy getting lost in a good book. Community is important to me, and I strive to uplift and connect with those around me as I continue to explore all that Seattle has to offer. As a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator, my favorite aspect of my role is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care. Each interaction is a chance to make a difference, and I take pride in being a reliable source of guidance and compassion for those I serve.
