Regenerative Medicine
By Dr. Reid Kiyabu

As paradigms about health continue to shift from palliation towards prevention, the term "regenerative medicine" has risen in popularity. Regenerative medicine refers to the branch of medicine that supports and stimulates the body's natural healing mechanisms to restore and improve function to organ systems, tissues, and cells.

You may be wondering what regenerative medicine has to do with naturopathic medicine, one of the foundations of ICM. Regenerative medicine is aligned with the Therapeutic Order and the 6 Principles of Naturopathic Medicine, specifically the beliefs that the body can heal itself. If the obstacles preventing the body from healing are removed and it has an adequate supply of necessary building blocks, your body will return to homeostasis. Rather than manage symptoms, regenerative medicine seeks to address the root cause and stimulate true healing.

Many treatment approaches can be considered "regenerative." ICM offers a suite of regenerative medicine services, including platelet-rich-plasma (PRP), prolotherapy, Emsella™️ and Emsculpt™️, neural therapy, ozone therapy, peptides, exosomes, low level light therapy (LLLT), intravenous and injection nutrients, and microneedling. These non-surgical options are highly effective for a range of conditions and their utility often extends beyond what conventional medicine offers.

ICM has been working tirelessly to bring cutting-edge, innovative therapies to patients. Our providers have done extensive training and use patient-specific decision making when recommending and administering treatment. Schedule your consultation today!
